Goal
Log your first trade and understand the Trinity Checklist feature — the single most important tool for improving as a trader over time. The system finds the trade. The Journal builds your edge.
What the Journal Does
You can have the best system in the world, but if you're not tracking what you're doing with it, you're flying blind. The AlgoatTV Trading Journal closes the loop:
- Portfolio Overview: Add your positions and track live P&L in real time.
- Trade Log: Log every entry — ticker, entry price, date, position size, notes.
- Trade Detail Cards: Per-trade analysis with charts and performance metrics.
- Analytics: Your trade history analyzed over time. Find your patterns. Improve your edge.
- Multi-Portfolio Support: Track different strategies or accounts separately.
The Trinity Checklist — Pre-Trade Discipline
Before logging any trade, the Journal walks you through the Trinity Checklist — a three-step confirmation that you actually ran the protocol:
| Check | Question | Result if Failed |
|---|---|---|
| Step 1 | Did I check the GOAT score? Is it above 60? | Trade is not system-confirmed. Stop. |
| Step 2 | Did I check the Neural Hull? Is HA green? Clear sky? | Geometry not confirmed. Stop. |
| Step 3 | Did I check MCC? Reactor firing? RSI above 50? | Context not confirmed. Stop. |
The FOMO Check — The Most Underrated Feature
After the Trinity Checklist, the Journal asks one final question:
"Am I taking this trade because the data says so — or because I'm afraid of missing out?"
If you answer YES to the FOMO check — the journal immediately shows you, in concrete terms, why you're about to lose money. Before you lose it. No other journal on the market does this. It's not a feature. It's a mirror.
Logging Your First Trade
- Open the AlgoatTV Trading Journal from the dashboard.
- Click 'New Trade' or 'Add Position.'
- Enter: ticker symbol, entry price, date, position size.
- Work through the Trinity Checklist — confirm all three steps.
- Complete the FOMO Check — answer honestly.
- Submit the trade. It now appears in your Trade Log with full history.
- Review the Analytics section weekly — find patterns in your edge.
💡 PRO TIP: Walk through a real past trade — not a hypothetical. Show an actual entry, the Trinity Checklist filled in, and the outcome. Real examples build trust and make the workflow tangible.
